Rulebooks is a Dutch legal tech startup building a legal operations platform. The platform is positioned around legal operations workflows (including contract management and related processes) used by in-house legal teams and service providers.

The client needed to move faster on a product roadmap in legal operations while keeping quality high in a production codebase. Key challenges:

• speed to market for new features in a contract management / legal ops platform
• ongoing maintenance of an existing Angular application (bugs, refactoring, code readability)
• predictable delivery in a regulated, process-heavy domain where reliability matters
• tight collaboration with the CTO to prioritize and ship changes quickly

Patternica joined as a technical outsourcing partner and embedded a Middle Angular developer into the client’s team and delivery process.

What we did:
